Even though this is a cool 'gadget' this is actually pretty functional too. Smaller than I thought when closed, but opens to be pretty large - so I am happy it isn't a huge book. It's very easy to place on a book shelf or desk and doesn't get in the way. Easy to change the size. We use it as a tableside lamp, but then we moved it to the book shelf and had it half closed and it looks very nice. Cool alongside other books. OVERALL - great price point. Functional tableside lamp. If you like the idea of the lamp, you will like it in person.

Amazing lamp just with some issues. Firstly, the book does not lay flat, you would have to use the double sided tape to get it to lay flat. Secondly, is the color is not controllable, you have to open it 7 times to get to the color you want, as it cycles through presets. Overall still good though. 4 stars!

Love the item and different light options (the warm color is my fav). Pages are slightly bent at bottom/top but still love it. Close and reopen to change the light.
